A lighting project designed, managed and implemented by a lighting consultant will typically use 30 per cent less energy than one from a lighting supper, a non-lighting expert, revealed Lux Magazine.
It may be more expensive upfront, but the end result with energy efficiency, lighting control and aesthetically, make it well worth the investment.

Draft legislation has been drawn up by the European Commission outlining that ‘poor performing’ versions and low-quality lamps from Far Eastern imports will be excluded from sale in the European Union from 2013. Long life (IRC) lamps will take their place, although more expensive they will give longer life and greater energy efficiency.
